Want to know the top 100 PR Pros to follow on Twitter? There’s a great list on Conversation Agent’s blog. But what I love even more is this tool that let’s you select all or hand pick which of those top PR folks you choose to follow.
If you’re like me you’ve spent hours following people on lists like this, one at a time. That tool will let you select all and then check or uncheck who you like. You can even create and share your own list on http://tweepml.org
If you are already following a person on the list, it tells you that too.
This is an amazing tool for PR folks. First, you compile a list of the top people on Twitter for different niches (say a list of everyone you can find from a particular state for a local business or someone who needs to focus on a geographical area). Then you can use that list in future campaigns or to help your clients get set up quickly with a new account. It can also help you.
Another feature I love is that you can search Google for recommended lists. Something like “top twitter Utah” and find a page of people. If it looks good, you can plug in the URL to that page and this tool will pull the names for you. Or you can simply type names of people on twitter one per line and it will let you create the list then follow the people.
Note that you can only make lists of 100 – because that’s all you can follow at one time. If you’re on the list, we’re following you.
If I were writing a book on setting up a Twitter account, drawing followers and what to write to attract a following I would include this tool. Then there are paid Twitter tools that will follow people for you, spaced out, based on keywords and other parameters. I have not used Twitter Adder yet – it is a reference from a dinner of Internet marketers when I asked for recommendations.

That’s a very useful site. I’m going to use it to find targeted people in my fitness niche.
