bestpressreleasesfor2009What were the best press releases of the year (2008)? PRWeb wanted to know. They picked 4 esteemed judges and me to vote on the 10 that got the most clicks.

Then they opened it up so everyone could vote (go vote!). I interviewed one of the top 10 finalists and will post soon.

Here are the top 10 press releases of 2009, according to the judges:

  6. Small Cap Network Issues Analysis of Biotech Stocks GNTA, ADXS, IMMU, ACTC, and CTIC, Each of Which is Developing or Supporting Cancer Treatments or Cancer Vaccines
  7. NEoWave Warns Stock Market Has Peaked for 2009

I noticed that while technically these were not perfect, they were timely and newsworthy. There were a lot of product releases. Notice how they are not hyped though.

Also, notice that many are from people or companies you’ve probably never heard of (the little guys). The one from Better Homes and Gardens magazine doesn’t lead with the brand or focus on it. Instead they led with the  story that tied into Halloween. I liked that.
