E.ggtimer – First, what an elegant design! Second, keep track of time with this handy free tool. Use it to track time to bill clients or to see how much time you’re actually spending on Facebook.

Marketing Plan Template – Simple 2 page worksheet to help you get started on your marketing plan.

Marketing ROI Calculator. Use this calculator to determine the marketing ROI (Return on Investment) for your e-mail campaign. Free, no registration is required.

OnlyWire is a FireFox add-on so you can easily social bookmark any page you’re on with a variety of services. Sends you a report back on how you did. Makes it so much easier.

Pitch Engine is a FREE social media press release tool that lets you build and share digital, social media releases with your contacts. You can put video, audio and images directly into your press release and share it in many different ways. Drawback: not permanent links, deleted after 30 days or pay a monthly fee (see prices).

PR.com – free press release distribution (very basic)

PRLog.org – also free but allows picture, video, 3 URL links, published immediately, Google News

24-7pressrelease.com – decent SEO features, my 2nd favorite. Low cost to embed a video in your press release. I would choose the $85 level.

PRWeb – my favorite press release distribution service for the  SEO features, email distribution, and online coverage. I use the $200 package (starts at $80)

PRNewswire – Newswires cover print and broadcast publications. PR Newswire is the oldest press release newswire used by everyone from Oprah Windfrey to Apple.  This links goes to their small business toolkit where you will get special pricing if you’re a new member. I have sent a press release over PRNewswire with stellar results (Seth Godin said he really liked my press release).

Business Wire – high touch, great service to distribute your press release.

Press Release Grader by Hubspot evaluates your press release for you. It analyzes the strength of your links and search engine optimization. It’s also educational.

PR Form is free press release formatting tool. You put the information in the boxes after the explanation and at the end you have a press release. Magic!

RoboForm – oh, how could I live without you! You keep track of my passwords, create new secure passwords and fill out forms for me. Just one master password and it unlocks all your various accounts. Trust me, you need this if you do online marketing! Pay for the upgrade to get it on zip drive too. Then carry it with you everywhere.

Social Oomph – not a pretty interface but it’s free and very useful if you use Twitter. Schedule tweets, auto-follows and auto Direct messages (careful cowboy!).

TweetBeep – Google alerts for Twitter. Find retweetables and keep up on the conversation by getting an email whenever words that you specify are mentioned.

TweetReach – See how far your tweet has gone (stats). Search by hash tag, URL, or words.

Twitterholic – Find people to follow by location or other criteria with this Twitter directory.

WOM Marketing Plan worksheet from Andy Sernovitz who is the “Word of Mouth Marketing” guru. Helps you create a word-of-mouth marketing plan in 5 easy steps.

usnpl – lists the top newspapers and news media in every state with links to their Twitter, Facebook Page and even addresses. This is a killer resource for PR.

Wordtracker – a simple free tool to do basic keyword research. Numbers are usually way low because it doesn’t include Google results. Still useful.
