Dear Jane,

I like prlog and even if it’s difficult to place our press releases (because we are competitors) at prlog we at http://www.widepr.com (incl. free news distribution to microblogs like twitter) always try to do so.

The control of the anchor text seems to be very important to all seo release writers but not such important to traditional old economy press release writers. But as press releases are a mighty seo tool and the amount of seo releases is increasing evidently we should offer this anchor text control at http://www.widepr.com soon.

I use PRLog all the time. I did a release this evening and its showed up straight away in google – tonight!

I have been using PRLOG for years and NOT one of my releases has made it to google news. Yet all the other PR services some how get my new in google.

No, actually I don’t get this, but they don’t seem to offer anchor text upgrades. I need to see what upgrades there are because when I’m in the free part it never mentions any of the paid services. I think they’re missing out but not at least letting us know what they offer.

Thanks for giving such a detailed description, I’ve often been baffled by the so called free press release sites and felt like they were more of spam type places. I’m eager to try this out and see how it works. I came upon your site from someone’s twitter and I’m definitely bookmarking it, love your tips!

Just knowing I can get free links with the URL as the anchor text is nice. Do they allow you to control the anchor text as an upgrade?
